    The Logistics Manager is responsible to implement solid process management and to manage all activities associated with the efficient operation of logistics accounts. This includes account profitability, customer satisfaction, compliance, employee relations and day to day safety.

    Requirements / Exigences

    - Bachelor's degree in business, logistics, transportation or a combination of other education and experiences will be considered
    - Five (5) years or more experience in transportation operations with supervisory responsibilities
    - Strong leadership skills with the ability to build and manage an effective team
    - Must be able to demonstrate:
    - Strong verbal and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, able to problem solve using analytical tools and strong organizational skills
    - Ability to prioritize and schedule tasks to meet the customers’ expectations
    - Must be computer literate and able to use the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel; Word and Power Point are required)
    - Excellent knowledge of Transportation and/or Warehouse Logistics operations
    - Excellent knowledge of safety and security requirements
    - Must be able to travel within Canada and the United States

    Responsibilities / Responsabilités

    • Manage all aspects of the day to day operations of the business to include:
      • driver performance, on-time delivery, safety, compliance, payroll, billing, P&L, KPI reporting, equipment maintenance, accounts payable and receivables, vendor management, customer service and other duties as required to run an effective operation
    • Collaborate with senior management and Ryder support services to ensure we are exceeding the expectations of the customer while meeting internal expectations
    • Analyze weekly and monthly P&L statement to determine account profitability
